For many disadvantaged Australian children who can’t afford the basics, like school bags or uniforms, school can feel like a place where they stand out for all the wrong reasons. For The Smith Family, we wanted people to understand what that actually feels like. In Their Shoes used storytelling and interactive technology to put people inside a child’s experience of being excluded, overlooked and left behind, helping Australians see school through their eyes.
